Kindle Sales Dashboard
Numbers not accurate?
Tonight I realized that the graphs have an "All Market" setting, the "Month to Date Unit Sales" charts do not. I believe this could be leading to some the confusion authors are having. In order to get the totals under the "Month to Date Unit Sales", you would have to click on each of the markets for the various countries, then add them up. I think authors saw the first US chart and assumed it was for all of the markets.
The spreadsheets listed under the "Generate Reports" button opens in your Excel or Open Office program and shows all the markets. You can easily hit the SUM function to add the entire column to get a page read total.

Upload the Book Files Again
I uploaded the books with more backmatter, including free chapters of my other books. This extended the page counts. If you feel one or all of your books are not accurately counted, then upload the file again. It might make a difference, it might not. But it is worth a try.
Box Sets to Increase Your Profits in KU
I created a box set, Murder in the Family, of three books with a total of 880 paperback pages. The KDP conversion puts it at 1367 pages.
With a sales price at $4.99, I receive $3.49 in royalties
For a full read on KU, I receive $7.79
Now here's food for thought: I make $4.75 profit on my paperbacks. So one KU box set read does far better than that.
Box Set & Exclusivity
If you choose to go the box set route, be sure to abide by the exclusivity rules. Putting your book or story into an anthology does not make it a new work. You would be in violation of the exclusivity rules. Click here for more details.
